LABEL INSTRUCTIONS!!!

In Honor of Stupid People

In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed to stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods:

On a Sears hairdryer -- Do not use while sleeping.
(Shoot, and that's the only time I have to work on my hair.)

On a bag of Fritos -- You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.
(the shoplifter special)?

On a bar of Dial soap -- "Directions: Use like regular soap,"
(and that would be how???....)

On some Swanson frozen dinners -- "Serving suggestion: Defrost."
(but, it's "just" a suggestion).

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom) -- "Do not turn upside down."
(well...duh, a bit late, huh)!

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding -- "Product will be hot after heating."
(...and you thought????...)

On packaging for a Rowena iron -- "Do not iron clothes on body."
(but wouldn't this save me more time)?

On Boot's Children Cough Medicine -- "Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication."
(We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5-year-olds with head-colds off those forklifts.)

On Nytol Sleep Aid -- "Warning: May cause drowsiness."
(and...I'm taking this because???....)

On most brands of Christmas lights -- "For indoor or outdoor use only."
(as opposed to...what)?

On a Japanese food processor -- "Not to be used for the other use."
(now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious)

On Sainsbury's peanuts -- "Warning: contains nuts."
(talk about a news flash)

On an American Airlines packet of nuts -- "Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts."
(Step 3: maybe, ooh...fly Delta?)

On a child's Superman costume -- "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly."
I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one.)
On a Swedish chainsaw -- "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals."
(Oh my ..was there a lot of this happening somewhere?)
Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread the stupidity.

Throwing Shoes

The difference between US and China...
How did people react when shoe was thrown on Bush and how people are reacting when shoe is thrown yet again on Chinese Premier...
US - No Reaction ...all people asked - what make? Man bad aim that guy had...
China - People protesting ...
So what next....no shoes allowed or when attending any gathering which has any dignitary you will have to tie a balloon with helium to the shoes......such that even if you are tempted to throw , it just goes up!!!! :)

Forgiveness....

There's no one definition of forgiveness. But in general, forgiveness is a decision to let go of resentments and thoughts of revenge. Forgiveness is the act of untying yourself from thoughts and feelings that bind you to the offense committed against you. This can reduce the power these feelings otherwise have over you, so that you can a live freer and happier life in the present. Forgiveness can even lead to feelings of understanding, empathy and compassion for the one who hurt you.

Forgiveness is a big thing and maybe on everyone's mind....there are loads of sites dealing with the subject!!!

Super Bowl and Malfunction....

Super Bowl should be now seen with Adult Supervision...Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction and now Porn during the game!!!
In the Tucson, Arizona area, Comcast viewers had a 30 second clip of hard core porn. This is a family show, kids must have been watching it.. I am pretty certain, for some time parents would not even be sure if this was an ad or what...what a horrific experience.
Can parents sue Comcast for it? How does one explain all this to the kids..Where are we heading to?

A few things to do before I die

A Few to do before I Die
1) Visit the Northern Lights
2) Go for an African Safari
3) Go out in Space
4) See all the wonders of the world - Pyramid, Great wall
5) Set foot on each of the seven continents. Antarctica might be a tough one, but once done and reached all seven one can truly call oneself a world traveler.
6) Make a substantial difference in someone's life. Someone who is not related to me in any way
7) Tell all the people I love and care that I love them and how much they mean in my life.

An American in Gandhi's India

How many of us know of the only American who was jailed cause he was a part of India"s Freedom Struggle and how many of us know of the man who got the Red Apples to Himachal Pradesh.

It was rather pleasant to meet Mrs Asha Sharma author of the book "An American in Gandhi's India". She's the grand daughter of this American Indian, Samuel Evans Stokes, who later was known as Satynand Stokes.

This is what Mahatama Gandhi had to say in an article in Young India on Stokes’ arrest, "This is a unique move on the part of the government. Mr Stokes is an American who has naturalised himself as a British subject who has made India his home in a manner in which perhaps no other American or Englishman has... But that he should feel with and like an Indian, share his sorrows and throw himself into the struggle, has proved too much for the government. To leave him free to criticise the government was intolerable, so his white skin has proved no protection for him..."

Resolutions 09

New Year with new resolutions, new issues and new ways to keep them at bay or rather get them sorted...
So unline every year I did not make any resolutions this year..but now as time is going by I think I should ...Keeps the tradition going...and that also means breaking the resolution in the first month but always have a good reason for it!!!
So I have decided on this year's resolution....a happy healthy life ( which includes loosing weight) But I would this year not pinpoint my resolutions but rather put them in a broad gambit...so a happy healthy life...and in case at the end of the year i am still as BIG as i am now...I would have still achieved half of my resolution...all that eating and drinking that helped me keep my BIG stature atleasr made me happy!!!!
Diplomacy with self is the word!!

FRIENDS and FRIENDSHIP!!!

The best definition I have read so far!!!! "Good friends are like bras: supportive, never leave you hanging, make you look good and are always close to your heart." I think that is as good a definition as any of the word friend I've come across. Well gals I know you can relate to it but guys you gotto find your own thing!! :)
"A friend is someone who knows everything about you, but likes you anyway," goes the saying. There is no other human relationship like that of a friend. Unlike a sister, you chose a friend—she is not given to you as a result of biology
Another piece of advice I read....
If you've had a disagreement with your friend, buy her a new lipstick and attach a note that reads, "Let's make up."

Achievement

How does one define achievement. It is defined in Thesaurus as something completed successfully; goal reached . So anything can be an achievement.
What has been your life's achievements so far. For me it has been able to drive...well so many people woiuld say it is hardly anything..but for me it is one of the biggest achievments in my life.
People who read this blog, share your achievemnts. Achievements for me are things that I never thought I would do but then I finally do...this could be different for you.
